Zoe Strauss is pretty much my favorite person in the whole word but she doesn’t even know it, and that is okay. Sunday, Alicia and I are driving up to go to I-95 and hopefully to visit some Philly friends and do some queer drinking in the streets (at least that’s what Nora said is going to happen.) Anyway if you happen to be in Philadelphia and would like to see some amazing photographs come see the show! Here is some more information from Zoe’s site.

I-95.08
Here’s what happens on Sunday, May 4 2008 at Front and Mifflin Sts. in
Philadelphia, PA. There’s 231 photographs under I-95 from 1PM to 4PM.
All of the photos will be up at 1PM.There’s photos for sale
at the table, and maps and photo lists, golf pencils, water and
pretzels. Color copies are 5 dollars each, please ask for them by
number. Every photo in the show has a number written on the ground in
front of the image. If you want to buy a copy, tell the people at the
table the number and they’ll get it for you. Working at the table will
be Laura, Masha, Charday and Savannah.
Savannah: #1 Sister of all time!
Charday: play niece
Laura: intern from Uarts
Masha: intern from Moore
At 4 when the show is over people are welcome to take the photos from the
pilasters. There’s adhesive backing on the photos, so if you think you
want to take one bring saran wrap or paper to put on the back. And
bring some for other people, too.
For folks who are just wandering in who or don’t know about the maps and photos
for sale at the table, please tell them how the show works.

oh man, I wish I had a car now. This is a good weekend to give my roommate space and get out of the apartment. Instead I guess I’ll collate the zine (which I say because I want to send you one! and while I’m overcaffeinated, Katie, I want you to look at this post and let me know what you think about my senior project: http://parapluiesdoux.livejournal.com/355062.html I think I wrote that it’s done but I might do more work to the pieces afterall. Still. Want. to know. Your. Opinion.)

I will! (But to where? Comments are screened on LJ or email me if you haven’t yet!) The cyanotype is hanging in Towson’s CFA gallery through the second or third week of May. The other pieces aren’t hanging anywhere yet. They’re in a big blue Ikea bag in the darkroom. (Seems like a waste there, gotta work on that.)
